Cohort Retention and Graduation Head Counts Entering YearĬohort Retention and Graduation Rates Entering YearĬohorts include full-time, first-time freshmen who begin in each fall term. August 31 is used as a cut-off date to determine four-, five-, and six-year graduates/grad rates. Retention figures are determined using fall to fall census enrollments (10th day of classes). The first table summarizes these statistics using actual headcount numbers, the second table displays those numbers as percentages of the original cohort. The following tables, compiled by the Office of Institutional Research, show the retention and graduation rates of full-time, first-year, degree-seeking students from each fall term.
